Chatman's Signs Vandalized

Justice of the Peace John-John Chatman is in my opinion the absolute worst JP in the county by a long shot. I hope, for the sake of our community that he isn't re-elected.

The backlog of cases in his court is straight-up ridiculous and much like District Attorney Yvonne Rosales, its always everyone's fault but theirs.

He's completely mismanaging his office and I'd like pretty much anyone else to have a chance to straighten up that JP office.

All that being said - Chatman's campaign signs have been vandalized throughout the Lower Valley - and that is not the way a candidate should win or lose.

I know the property owner at this home on North Loop, just west of Lee Treviño. Chatman's opponent Lucilla "Lucy" Najera had her sign up on that property first, as it is closest to the street. Shortly thereafter, Chatman's banner was erected. But as you can clearly see, Najera's sign is untouched.

This is just one example, but several of his signs have been vandalized. I saw one on Delta and Alameda that was also spray painted and another similarly vandalized further east on North Loop. They are large signs and are costly to replace. Whomever is doing this can - and should be - prosecuted.

For me its not really about how much it costs to replace the signs - its the fact that bush league bullshit is just dirty pool. You don't engage in these types of activities. No self-respecting campaign team would go to this length of spray painting the sign of an opponent to the point hat its illegible.

I want him to lose - but not like that.

Somebody tell Chatman to spring for a couple of hunting cameras and set them up near his signs and he'll catch whomever is doing it. Get me the footage, I'll post that shit.

Oh hey, speaking of footage - did y'all see Rosales running from the cameras on KVIA? Also speaking of footage - wait till I get to one of the judicial races...
