The Dead Baby, DA Rosales, TC & Judge Rangel

Did y'all see that video I posted on FB the other day before it was taken down? The video was on YouTube so someone probably downloaded it before it was taken down, so it likely lives somewhere on the internet.

It was a sentencing hearing for the lady that admitted she mutilated the corpse of her dead baby. At a minimum - that is what she pleaded guilty to.

And Judge Bonnie Rangel - you remember, the one who wanted her own reality show (click here to see the super weird promo video she starred, and trust me - its weird) - COMPLIMENTED the woman who ADMITTED to MUTILATING the corpse of her dead baby - on how beautiful she was!

The hearing started off with just casual conversation about the judge not remembering seeing the defendant before and Theresa Caballero - the lawyer representing the defendant - correcting her saying she's met here at least two times before. And this is the exchange from there:

Judge Rangel: I don't remember her this beautiful, my gosh.

The defendant Erika Gomez: (laughs, looks off camera)

Judge Rangel: Beautiful young lady!

Theresa Caballero: Yes.

Erika Gomez: Thank you, your honor.

Judge Rangel: Beautiful young lady, Ms. Gomez. Beautiful young lady.

Erika Gomez: Thank you, your honor.

Judge Rangel: I don't remember three times, Ms. Caballero. I only remember one ugly time Ms. Caballero. (Laughs)

I'm not exaggerating, that is exactly what happened. It was disgusting to watch. Again, this matter is about the fact that Gomez admitted to stabbing the corpse of her dead baby.

I doubt the average person would find it a laughing matter, but apparently Judge Rangel did.

She went on to compliment District Attorney Yvonne Rosales for lowering the charge from capital murder down to a much lesser offense, - abuse of a corpse - for which the defendant was released with time served.

The defendant is represented by Theresa Caballero, whom the judge also went out of her way to fawn over.

I don't know that there was anything legally wrong with what the judge did, but I think your average voter would watch that video and find it infuriating.

Now of course Theresa Caballero down plays what happened and twists a narrative to justify the efforts of the DA's office to drop it from Capital Murder to the lesser charges. But by her own admission, the defendant - at the very least - admitted to stabbing the corpse of her dead baby and hiding it in a shed.

Why does anyone need to stab a baby that was ALLEGEDLY still born?

And why are they all literally laughing and having trivial conversation about how beautiful the defendant is when the case is about a mutilated corpse, to which the defendant is admitting she did?

Does that sound like justice to anyone?

I came across this site that says that Judge Rangel has had her license to practice law suspended 7 times

This is why elections matter. The DA race was an important race. Other communities in Wisconsin and Georgia that had high profile cases that happened in 2020 have already seen those cases resolved and yet the Aug 3rd shooting case has remained stagnant.

Now a mother who stabbed her dead baby and then hid the body got off with a slap on the wrist. I mean at this point I'm surprised it wasn't lowered from Capital Murder to Illegal Use of Hands and a 10 yard penalty from the spot of the foul.

If my math is correct, Judge Rangel's seat should be up for re-election this cycle. The video of that proceeding would spark outrage in the average voter. It is very damaging politically.

There are important races on the ballot - pay attention to them. Because I can't think of a better demonstration of why races like the DA and judicial seats are so very important.
