Republicans, Coronavirus, & the Holocaust
I think we should all count our lucky stars that today's garden variety Republican wasn't around during World War II. That war drew Americans together in shared sacrifice. All Americans had to do their part for the war effort.
The government had drafts and rations. All Americans had important items limited or completely unavailable to them during those few years in order to support the war effort. We had to limit things like fuel, tires, firewood, coal, nylon, silk, etc...
Americans had to use ration cards to purchase basic essentials like meat, dairy, coffee, dried fruits, jams, jellies, lard, shortening, and oils.
Can you imagine the selfish "muh riiiiiights" MAGA crowd being around then? Those snowflakes don't give a damn about anyone but themselves and have the audacity to throw around the word "patriot".
Its muh Gawd-givin' riiiigggght to have nylon.
You'll take muh silk fruum muh col' dayed hans ya tyrants!
I ain't takin' that polio vaccine. If it worked, why does FDR still have the polio?
They are just far too weak and delicate to have survived back then.
And selfish.
Thats why they are against masks and vaccines.
I wrote on Saturday how there was a protest going down at EPISD's Board of Trustees meeting coming up and I showed how they were doing their best to hide the fact that they are mostly a collection of westside Republicans that are the anti-maskers.
Well, El Paso's answer to Margorie Taylor Green has been doing exactly what MTG has been doing - comparing measures to protect Americans to a systemic effort to terminate anywhere from 6 - 11 million Jews.
Aside from it being an embarrassingly stupid remark, its historically ignorant.
Let me show you what I'm talking about first. This was posted on Irene Armendariz-Jackson's Facebook page she uses to campaign with. You remember her, the Republican that got stomped by Congresswoman Escobar and then wanted a recount...that never happened...
