Bell Ringers Get Bell Rung
Up until last night they were living in an alternate reality. They believe an election had been stolen from them - and I'm not talking just about Trump. Bethany Hatch and Irene "La Mentirosa" Armendariz-Jackson thought their major loss was the result of some sort of election steal.
The anti-maskers / anti-vaxxers had convinced themselves that El Pasoans were really a Republicans, they just don't know it. Hand to God, I have been in GOP circles were they say this with a straight face.
Up until last night they thought they were the voice for the community.
Up until last night they thought they were the majority.
And then they got hit with an ice-cold bucket of reality. El Pasoans showed up and demonstrated that we aren't a community of selfish, ignorant, foolish conspiracy theorists.
It is apparently a very hard pill for them to swallow because they are losing their minds all over social media making empty election threats towards trustees that didn't vote their way. And I assure you, its an empty threat. They loved to pat themselves on the back and say "we are the Red Storm".
Storm?
They aren't even a fart cloud.
Today's social media hang-over will last a few days while they try to figure out what to do with all their Trump rage next.
But hey, speaking of alternate reality...the funniest part about all these Trump supporters was hearing them actually sound like ...
... wait for it...
card-carrying LIBERALS.
Only really, really, really dumb.
But a central tenant of conservatism is the concept of small government and local control. They all spoke about the Governor's order as if it were gospel or something, and acting like local government are being tyrants.
Tyrants.
They actually use that word.
Funny thing is, the governor's order is a classic example of autocratic government overreach - something the profess to be against. It takes away local control. It takes away the ability of local communities to decide what is best for them.
From a governor who is hundreds of miles away from our community, almost never comes here, and when he does, he sneaks in and out of town to pick-up campaign checks and get back to the governor's mansion before dark.
But my favorite example of the alternate reality is watching Kendall Jessup holding a sign talking about the freedom to choose.
Talk about an alternate reality! Now they are for health choices being left to the individual?
Oh but wait - there's more. Mirroring the non-stop grifting that comes from the Trump Klan, there is a go-fund me account set-up to sue the district.
Wanna guess what Jessup's spouse does for a living?
I'm just wondering aloud here but wonder which lawyer they'll go with?
And they took one more big fat L tonight that is almost more ironic than the governor coming down with COVID.
Several of the Bell Ringers said at the meeting last night that they had taken their kids out of public school and sent them to charter schools were they don't have to worry about a mask mandate.
Whoops...tonight IDEA announced that their charter schools would comply with the mask mandate...
They are stacking up L's like they are the Dallas Cowboys...
