Wes Should've Said Less

So Wesley Lawrence called me a liar - because I told the truth about him.

There's a lot of things people can say about me - I'm a hot head, I'm too direct, I'm assertive, I'm aggressive, I'm stubborn, I'm ruthless (only if you have it coming), I'm heartless (not unless you wronged me), I'm vindictive (Okay, yes I do enjoy a good payback), etc.

But don't call me a liar - especially when I was taking it easy on you. And most especially if you can't even back up what exactly it is you're calling me a liar about.

My most recent post about Wesley Lawrence basically pointed out what a lot of people have an issue with him about - its hard to trust the guy because he so very obviously plays both sides. And, I pointed out that he led the charge to take the El Paso County Democratic Party back to the bad old days by pushing for the Party to take sides in races we normally don't take sides in - because he would benefit from his candidate being endorsed by the Party.

Thats a fact. No cap.

He fancies himself a political operative. You're judged on your wins and losses in that field. Thats not my rule, that is just how the political jungle is. I actually have zero problem with him pulling out all the stops for his candidate - but he didn't disclose to anyone that he was affiliated with her campaign and that the whole endorsement thing was just his movida to help out his client.

Someone who has never been around the Democratic Party in the first place, she was one there because she wanted an endorsement.

Also, if you're going to be a political operative and interject yourself into the local political process - grow some thicker skin. If you can dish it, you better be able to take it.

So I don't feel sorry for the guy - especially after he calls me a liar. If you can't handle a little public scrutiny and criticism, then politics probably shouldn't be your career choice.

Now I have to tell some more truth bombs about young Master Lawrence.

TWO FACE

If he were a DC villain he'd be Two Face - and not just because he flips more than the US Gymnastic Team. I demonstrated on the last blog - with his own posts so not sure why he's calling ME the liar - that he went back and forth between Parties.

But he was playing both sides in the District 4 race, supporting two opposing candidates in the D4 race. And by supporting, I mean doing political work for both campaigns. I haven't bothered looking (yet) to see if he was compensated for working on both campaigns at the same time but anyone wanna take bets on that one?

So pardon me if I think someone who works on two opposing campaigns in the same race probably shouldn't be throwing out words like ethics...

SPEAKING OF VILLAINS...

Wait until you hear another time Wesley Lawrence did that.

Yes, thats right - the District 4 race wasn't the first time he has allegedly worked for two opposing candidates at the same time.

I spoke to former Republican Congressional candidate Sam Williams who told me he hired Lawrence to run his campaign for congress. I have a copy of his employment contract, but its pretty standard boring stuff, so I'll just post the page that all party's signed.

According to Williams, in pretty short order, he had to let Lawrence go. When I asked Williams why, he indicated something that was quite a shocker to me.

Just kidding.

It didn't surprise me in the least.

Williams said he found out that his campaign staffer - young Master Lawrence - was, and stop me if you've heard this one about Wesley before, helping out another candidate's campaign at the same time as Lawrence was working on his.

According to Sam Williams, that other candidate was .... wait for it...

Anthony Aguero!

Y'all remember Aguero right? The anti-immigrant, parking-lot lurker, woman-beating, felon insurrectionist that cosplays a variety of roles in his quest for acceptance that is as tall as a Keebler Elf.

Yeah, that guy.

Williams apparently had to go through the trouble and expense to hire one of the most prominent law firms in El Paso to deal with Lawrences Separation of Employment.

Mr. Williams said another reason he let Lawrence go was because he was always attending events for Congresswoman Escobar.

Williams put it pretty succinctly - "He has loyalty issues."

And in politics - loyalty is the coin of the realm.

This is the guy leading the Party back to a dark path and has the audacity to call himself a "true progressive" implying a whole lot of people that have done YEARS of work for the Democratic Party are somehow less Democratic. Its just silly to see his antics. He roasted a guy with Republican voting history as though he himself doesn't have a Republican voting history.

While he was proudly wearing his MAGA hat, proclaiming on Facebook to "#LockThemUp", and trying to oust Nancy Pelosi, just about everyone else active in the Party were trying to help Beto defeat Ted Cruz - who Lawrence bragged at the time that he voted for.

So spare us all your critiques about who is and isn't a "true progressive" because someone who supported "Conservative" Anthony Aguero for congress doesn't get to pretend he's actually a Democrat.

Nor should anyone feel sorry for him.
