Paredes Financial Relationship to Local Politicos

Martin Paredes' pendejadas make me laugh. Paredes is a blogger who wants to pose as a legitimate news source. What he writes is as much opinion as what I write.

The difference is, I go out of my way to remind people I'm not a news sources. I'm an opinion page, just like he is.

He tries to call his various pages "news" but they aren't. He's dangerous because a lot of people mistake him for a legitimate news site. But if he was a legitimate news site, he'd be as corrupt as the crazies think regular media is.

So let me tell you what most of you probably don't know, but I do.

Paredes is using his "news" site in an effort to try to cover for Lily Limón because he has a long-time political and business relationship with the Sun Circle partnership.

Yes, the guy who pretends to be a reporter appears to be more about pay-to-play. Paredes talks frequently about corruption ends up being finically and politically connected to the people he's flying air cover for right now.

A couple years back Eddie Holguin, business partner to Lily Limón, was bragging about how he had a new political database system that was "way better than VAN". He was trying to sell the system to candidates and politicos here in town.

Martin Paredes was part of that effort. According to Eddie Holguin himself, Paredes did the coding for the product and got paid for it.

Funny how he has never really disclosed it when he tries to shape a narrative to cover for his political and financial allies.

To hear Paredes tell it, there was no dispute, no assault, nothing happened at all, and no police report. But the dead giveaway of the Limón connection to Paredes is the fact that when real media asked Limón for comment, she had nothing to say.

No where to be found.

But she knew that Paredes was going to be a friendly outlet to give a quote. She knew he wasn't a real journalist and wouldn't press her. She knew he wouldn't mention her previous incidents with other elected officials that also were controversial. Limón knew that since he doesn't even live in El Paso that he wouldn't make mention of the things Limón has said about Oaxaca in person at various events over the years.

But something happened. I wasn't there. But several readers alerted me to what transpired. Talk of it was all over the place while the event was still going on.

There's an entire network of people that are involved in a disruptive effort to take over the Democratic Party that are all connected to Holguin and Limón - and therefore Paredes. Its not even hard to draw the lines either.

Before I get into The Who's lets talk about the Why's.

The Holguin faction of the Party lost control of the El Paso County Democratic Party. I don't know what exactly was the breaking point but I suspect it was when it came to light that Eddie's firm was receiving money from the Democratic Party and the Tejano Democrats.

Holguin then lost control of the Tejano Democrats. The hand-picked successor to Iliana Holguin to take over as El Paso County Democratic Party Chair was her current staffer Javier Aaron Paz.

Well he was all ready for his coronation when Oaxaca unexpectedly announced her candidacy for Chairwoman at a Democratic Party meeting. I have the video somewhere, but Paz looked like he was going to cry when he heard the announcement. He knew he couldn't beat Oaxaca and withdrew his candidacy.

Now you know why Paz is the person that was pushing some letter to Chairwoman Oaxaca that was sent by some made-up group.

The Who's

Paz must have REALLY wanted that position badly because it was the exact moment that Paz changed. He used to be the guy wanting more local inclusion in the Party. He was often a peace maker and would work with the minority progressive wing of the Party because he understood that the Party needed to remain united.

Now, he's angry, divisive, and always attacking someone. He's just a completely different guy. I guess not getting something he wanted so badly took a toll on him and now its just about creating chaos.

Paz's tag-team partner is the Republican, the Democrat, then Trump supporter, and then allegedly Democrat Wesley Lawrence. Lawrence and Paz are usually the ones being rowdy during zoom meetings trying to disrupt the Democratic Party's meetings.

The Chaos Clique will likely continue the way they are doing things now that we are already looking at the next primary election cycle. Just watch any El Paso County Democratic Party meeting and you'll see the crew that want to hijack the meetings. And you'll see its a collection of "consultants" and staffers who have financial incentives to try to steer endorsements and resources toward their clients.

That is what this is all about. And its really sad.

And instead of focusing on making more Democrats and defeating Republicans its just a bunch of internal chingasos because the Chaos Clique didn't get their way. I know there are a lot of Democrats that are reaching the end of their patience with their antics.
