EP GOP Selects New Chair; Seeberger Took Assets?

So the Monday Night Massacre turned out to be pretty funny. And just about every ReTrumplican in El Paso from Fabens to Canutillo is upset that I aired their dirty laundry.

You know for a blog that "nobody reads", they sure get bent out of shape and quote it chapter and verse, don't they? I feel like Republicans think I'm Sancho or something. They deny me in public, but late at night, when no one is looking, they come looking for Bid Daddy LionStar on the DL.

There was some confusion in the local twitterverse about what faction ended up on the winning side of everything the other night.

The local Republicans that took part in the Monday Night Massacre are trying to pretend that the Party isn't a giant desmadre and that they all came out united. You should know better than to believe people like the Surrats at this point. The local GOP is anything but united and Michael Surrat must have had a few too many of his nuts in his mouth if he thinks for one second that anyone in the El Paso Democratic Party is in the least bit "scared" of the local GOP.  Or maybe is was inhaling tear gas at the treason riot he and his wife attended in DC on December 6th. Who knows?

Controversial and confrontational former GOP Chair Rick Seeberger was replaced on Monday night at an emergency meeting of the GOP. But about an hour or so before the meeting - in true drama queen Seeberger form - the Republican precinct chairs received an email that in part, said this:

Yes, you are reading this correctly. Rick Seeberger sent an email basically saying that he and his posse decided to take everything that belongs to the GOP.

He and his crew apparently decided to create an organization that he is conveniently the head of and take control of all the assets belonging to the El Paso GOP.

He apparently created a corporation and they swooped in and took control of the El Paso GOP assets - with apparently no legal authority to do so. My favorite part of all of this is that some of these same loonies were arguing that Biden wasn't president and that the US was dissolved into a corporation but that the military was going to take over and install Trump as president in March - the inauguration day before the US was allegedly dissolved into this corporation.

So the fact that months ago Rick Seeberger and his merry band created a corporation for the GOP is laugh-out  loud funny.

This is going to be a fight within the GOP for a long time, but it crystalizes just how deep the division runs in the local GOP. I mean the fact that this apparently was in the forks for several months probably underscores the fears of everyone Republican that had concerns about Seeberger's financial background.

I mean what is the end-game here? Does Seeberger group think that they are just gonna hold on to the assets and that is the end of the story? Do they think that after all this is ironed out that all will be forgiven and they are going to be one big happy family?

This is a train wreck waiting to happen.

Factions?

Many were under the impression that this was a faction war that revolved around Trump cultists and the "Old Guard". Unfortunately it isn't really arranged into neat little lines like that. The entire GOP is solidly behind Trump. The moderate voices stopped participating in GOP daily activities a long time ago. Ray Baca is a long-time Republican. Always been one of the "old guard" fiscally-minded business type Republicans. He's also one of the Latinos for Trump or some sort of group like that. Most of the old-school types were completely fine with him being elected chair.

He's pretty diplomatic and is the adult in the room. If anyone is going to navigate the El Paso GOP through a tumultuous time, he's probably best-equipped to do so. He's diplomatic but won't take nobody's shit either.

The lynchpin here is Bethany Hatch.

Y'all remember her right? She got waxed in her recent effort to run for state senate, then showed up at the Trump insurrection. And then after that - in the most privileged gringa shit ever, decided to create a podcast calling themselves "Border Blondes".

Lol, I know. Pinches gringas thinking they represent border communities they don't even belong to.

Hatch is going to use the position to promote herself and at some point its going to be an issue and there will no doubt ultimately be a white faction of Republicans that want her to run for Congress so she can be the next person that Escobar kicks the shit out of in an election.

And that is where the human super spreader Irene "I'm sorry Ms" Jackson and Hatch are going to lock horns. La Mentirosa Jackson will likely pull out ahead of the border gringas in a primary but it will get bloody.

But the biggest question in the short term is what is the small little Seeberger faction going to do with those assets? I mean what is their end game? Are you seriously going to keep stuff that doesn't belong to you - that you didn't earn or work for? The Seeberger crew is the most Q-Anon of the local QOP.

Oops, I meant GOP.

My bad.
