Yet More Tejano Drama

Apparently there is no limit to the lengths that Eddie Holguin's clique will go to in order to maintain control of the Tejano Democrats. From what I gather, Lily Limón sent out an email claiming there was no Tejanos meeting Tuesday night.

I'm a member in good standing and I didn't get the email so if it was sent out - it was a cherry-picked list of people. (UPDATE: I have since been forwarded the email. In the email it says that if you received the email you're a member in good standing. So that sounds like they are trying to allege that I am not a member in good standing. Which is weird considering the movida they are in trouble for has to do with their membership scandal).

So in order to make sure she has her facts straight, there is in fact a meeting Tuesday evening.

Same bat time, same bat channel.

If you're wondering why grown-ass adults act so childish, I wish I could tell you. I don't have an answer for you. Its really, really, really stupid. But the more they do stuff like this, the worse it reflex on Chairwoman Holguin, which makes me happy.

So I hope they keep up their drama, I love watching the dumpster fire they created.

Mary Bowles Gasca sent out an email this evening confirming that there will in fact be a Tejano meeting as regularly scheduled. She also included a letter from the Tejano State Chairman recognizing her position as duly elected chair of the Tejanos.

Again, it makes no sense why there is this back-and-froth about leadership when the only thing that is accomplished is the fact that the Tejanos are taken off of their stated goal of electing Latino Democrats to office. All the drama completely undermines the legitimacy and credibility of the organization.

And let me pull over real quick and ask an important rhetorical question. Why does Limón want to hold so hard onto the title of Second Vice Chair of Tejanos when her and the First Vice Chair don't respect the organization enough to follow the endorsements rules?

Both the First and Second Vice Chairs have come out in opposition to the endorsed candidates of the Tejano Democrats. So why do they care to hold on to power in the first place?

Now that I have read the letter sent by Limón she has her facts wrong.

A vacancy was created in the position of chair when the issue of Holguin's consulting firm was campaigning for candidates that hadn't received the endorsement of the Tejanos. Limón is his business partner. She's in the same position as he is, so she can't serve as an officer. So is Chris Acosta.

The only one of that clique, per bylaws, that can keep their job is the treasurer.

But the problem for Limón, Acosta, and Anna Perez, is what some are calling - fraud.

And the fact that their alleged fraudulent act, was also something that was mailed by US mail, means that there are some more serious reproductions involved.

Like I said, its getting real in the Tejano Democrats and you shouldn't miss thee meeting on Tuesday! Its gonna be EPIC!!!!!!!!

So to reiterate - there is a meeting tonight for Tejano Democrats and the emails that keep getting sent out by Lily Limón and Chris Acosta are an effort to mislead the members. Several of the older members are getting upset about the conflicting messages and are starting to get upset with Sheriff Wiles and Iliana Holguin for not putting a stop to it.
