Trump Supporter Poised to Win; Where's Democratic Party Chair?

I'm about to ask a question that I have an answer to - and the answer shouldn't surprise you - but will embarrass the chair of the El Paso County Democratic Party Iliana Holguin and her click of supporters within the Party.

In District 6 - the district the chair lives in and her husband used to represent, an ardent Trump supporter is likely to win. Yesterday was the start of early voting in that race.

Which begs the question, where has the Chair of the El Paso County Democratic Party been? I mean when you think about it, when the most recent city election just passed the Chair was absolutely involved. Her closest political operative Javier Aaron Paz went to the trouble to sabotage the run-off opponent to Cassandra Hernandez and ensure that his access to Texas VAN was severely delayed - which was followed up by Iliana and Eddie Holguin making a contribution to Hernandez.

So clearly she has an interest in local city council races - so long as there is a benefit to her.

Except when its a race in the district she lives in. So again, why is she involved in one city council race involving nothing but Democrats and takes a side - but has absolutely NO presence in a city council race that involves an ardent Trump supporter?

The answer is simple - because she cares only about her own ambitions at this point. I mean Iliana and her merry band seem to have a problem with everything Mayor Margo does because well, he's a Republican. But he is at the very least, a Republican that stood up to Trump.

A Trump supporter is about to represent her on city council and we hear NOTHING from Iliana Holguin, the Chair of the El Paso County Democratic Party?

Not a single word.

Hell, she didn't even send out an email reminding Democrats that early voting is going on and encourage maximum participation. Nor is there even a post on the Democratic Party's social media pages.

Seriously, its the ONLY election going on right now and we don't hear a single word from the Chair nor the Party!?!?

Why?

Because she felt that there was a political advantage to getting involved in a race she doesn't live in that was more important than making the moral argument against candidates that represent her.

Once again, its all about the Holguin ambition.

So if she's not gonna advocate for Democrats and is only focus on her race, why not just resign, focus on her race, and leave the Party business to people who actually care about the direction of the Party?

Come on - you know why...
