"Progressive" Tamayo Allies with Extremist Republicans
The very day that District 76 candidate Elisa Tamayo, the hand-picked choice of the local delegation, was designated a "certified progressive" by Progress Texas, she showed up at an all-Republican event for an extremist Trump supporter that was just elected to city council in El Paso.
The Trump supporter, Claudia Rodriguez, won a seat to represent some of the bluest precincts in El Paso County on El Paso's city council. Tamayo showed up to her election night celebration to show her support for the Republican.
Here's a picture she took, literally in the arms of some of El Paso's most extremist Republicans and Trump supporters.
The guy in the middle who is a grown man that still likes to play dress up and in this picture is cosplaying as Inspector Gadget is Max Grossman. Big time Democrat hater. I'll get to him in a minute.
The woman off to the right is Representative-elect Claudia Rodriguez who ironically was elected largely on the name ID of Tamayo's opponent, current District 6 city representative Claudia Ordaz Perez. I pulled up her voting history. She's only voted in Republican primaries. Don't believe me? Well I'll be happy to show you. Here's a screenshot of her voting history from VAN.
See...that is a lot of R's.
She has more R's than Cardi B when she says O-kurrt!
The guy with the cowboy hat is my buddy James Peinado. He is a Ron Paul guy, more of a Libertarian. But an avid Trump supporter nonetheless and has an even stronger Republican voting history than Rodriguez.
The bald guy sitting between Claudia Rodriguez and Inspector Gadget is Ben Carnavale. That guy has never voted in a Democratic primary and appears to only vote in general elections. But he got kicked off the local Democratic Party's page for trolling.
Now lets get back to the grown man dressed like a cartoon character, Inspector Gadget. Oops, I mean Max Grossman.
I don't even need that guy's voting history to show you what a right-wing extremist he is - just take a look some of his social media posts. There's a lot of them, and I will have to save most of them for another post, but here's a few choice ones to make my point. You'd think someone who interned at the White House during the Obama administration would take issue with this guy:
So what is a so-called "progressive" doing at an event like that? Was she there to take them on? Was she there to call them out? There to stand up for women, students with a lot of education debt, immigrants, or public education and denounce them right to their face?
Hell no, she was there to celebrate with her Republican buddies.
And to try to show she's buddies with Max Grossman so that the Republican Houston billionaire sugar daddy can drop some cash on her campaign.
Seriously, the VERY SAME DAY she was being called a "certified progressive" by Progress Texas, she's hanging around El Paso's most extreme Republicans. And...most of those previously identified Republicans work for a Republican consulting firm here in El Paso called El Pasoans United 915.
Now according to another one of of the partners who is NOT pictured in the above photo the firm has a variety of services. Here's what that partner says,
And you know who the other partner not pictured is?
A man named Rick Seeberger.
Remember him? He was the Republican challenger to Congresswoman Veronica Escobar two years ago. I'm actually a little surprised he's talking about debt considering he's shown he can't handle his own finances - but that is another blog for another day.
