Word around media circles is that Leeser wasn't happy about the media coverage of the sale of his home. I don't know why, other than maybe he's worried that it would make him look elitist, like he's not a regular El Pasoan.

But people with that kind of wealth clearly aren't. Sure, your average El Paso doesn't have a maid staff or a gardening staff, or any of the other amenities in the Leeser Estate that is up for sale, but again its really no big deal if you don't buy into the every-day-man persona.

Maybe he's sensitive about it because he's running for Mayor and doesn't want to look richer than the other old rich white guy running.

It sort of boggles the mind that a guy who slaps his name on a parade would not see any media coverage as good coverage. For Pete's sake they are talking about his home - not restaurant fights with Octogenarians.

A theater room, wine cellar, 7 bathrooms, and more floor space that most Catholic Churches in town, Leeser's house sounds like its straight out of MTV Cribs! But for a guy who owns a dealership, I didn't see anything about how cool the garage must be.

According to media circles he was going to pull advertising dollars from programming. The allegation that Leeser has allegedly thrown around ad dollars relative to coverage has followed Leeser for years first at KINT and then KTSM.

This is obviously Eddie Holguin's wet dream because when he was on council he used to bitch about pretty much any media coverage that didn't make the Valley's laziest representative look good and would refuse to do interviews with anyone who wasn't doing friendly cupcake interviews with him. So he's probably always dreamed of being able to push around journalists until they write something Eddie approves of.

But what does Eddie care at this point? As long as the cash comes in and he can funnel it to his wife's campaign the same way she allegedly funneled Democratic Party money to Eddie's firm...which happens to be located one door down the hall from the El Paso County Democratic Party offices, right?

Shout out to KISS-FM for doing thee piece and standing by it by the way. The easy thing to do would've been for management to say, meh its just blog post, take it down. Good for them for not doing so.
