Eddie Holguin is Having a Meltdown...
| This is the big portrait of himself. |
He posted an update to the Tejano Facebook page stating that the endorsement meeting was no longer going to happen and then alleged that the last meeting didn't follow Robert's Rules of Order or the State Tejano's Constitution.
So now there is going to be YET ANOTHER power struggle and even MORE drama at the Tejano Democrats meetings. Eddie is pretty much the current version of Blanche Darly.
He's just not willing to let go.
Speaking of not letting go - the section of the bylaws that was used to kick Holguin to the curb should actually be applied to almost all the officers in the organization. Chris Acosta is working on a campaign right now, so she's and a few others are in the same situation.
I think this is was Javier Aaron Paz just didn't understand when he was running for chair. In the Democratic Party, when you are the head of the Party or an organization within the Party, being independent and impartial is important. Its how you maintain the integrity of the organization. That is the purpose of having rules where officers can't work on campaigns of candidates unless and until they are endorsed by the organization.
Oops, almost forgot to post a screenshot of the Facebook post:
Eddie has now actually made his own situation worse. According to Tejano Democrats, there is STILL an endorsement meeting going to happen. It has not been canceled, postponed, moved, or rescheduled. Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.
So Holguin is spreading misinformation, which makes sense.
Ask yourself why he's pushing so hard to maintain his grip on the organization?
Simple.
MONEY.
MONEY.
MONEY.
C'mon, isn't it ALWAYS something to do with money when it comes to the Holguins?
Eddie Holguin has a lot of candidates that are under the impression that going with his consulting firm means they have the inside track (if not a guarantee) of winning the endorsement of the Tejanos. The Tejanos spend a lot of money on their endorsements. Eddie most ESPECIALLY wants to make sure his wife Iliana Holguin wins that endorsement. If the Chair of the Democratic Party lost any endorsement, it would be a major problem for the Holguins.
All you campaigns that hired the Holguins' political consulting firm...your consultants aren't doing you any favors with this desmadre...#JustSayin.
Eddie absolutely HAS to control Tejanos, that is why he's willing to burn down the barn in the process. No rational person would get booted, then use the organization's social media platform to undermine the organization.
And make no mistake about it, that platform belongs to the organization, not Eddie Holguin.
He jealously guards the platform but its not his to administer - especially now that he's the former chair. That overt act of using the social media platform has probably put him in the position to expect some level of official, if not legal, action taken against him.
Its ironic isn't it? I mean the worst fear Democrats have is that if defeated in re-election that Trump would just refuse to leave office. And yet here is Eddie Holguin, refusing to relinquish his position (power over the money) and having a fit on social media.
I mean at this point, all Eddie is missing is a red MAGA hat.

Email-gate
A source in the Party says that Eddie Holguin was confronted about using the Tejano Democrats' state membership list to solicit support for Iliana Holguin. Holguin denied using the state email list and allegedly told people in Tejanos that he got the list he used to solicit support for Iliana from the Texas Democratic Party.
Well my sources say they checked with the TDP and that the official in the TDP that Holguin allegedly said gave him the email list told my sources that he did not provide such a list to Holguin and that they don't do so as a general practice.
Someone's got some 'splainin' to do....
