Adrian Guerra II, A Controversial Candidate for HD 79

Apologies in advance but you might want to be careful with reading the following post because of the content.

Today is the filing deadline to run for the vacated seat and a new name has surfaced as a candidate. Adrian Guerra II. I read somewhere that he was thinking about running as a Democrat.

Well that guy is no Democrat. I went through his social media and he's a major Trump supporter. And quite frankly, he's an extremist and his social media is filled with hypocrisy.

And I'm talking major hypocrisy. But more importantly I question the guy's judgement on a lot of things. First, if you're going to run in this day and age, clean up your social media. Over the last decade I've been doing this, how many times has something come up on someone's social media that is controversial? Pretty often and yet people just don't learn.

You'd think after Eric Stoltz's marijuano munchies posts that people would think, wow I really outta go through my social media and make sure there's nothing damaging there.

Well apparently Guerra, who is also some sort of private investigator, didn't think that someone might do just a very basic search on him and find things that are going to hurt his candidacy.

I'm not joking when I tell you that this guy not cleaning his social media accounts up was doing a major service tot he voters. In addition to there really being no way this guy can say he's running as a Democrat with a straight face, he's posted some pretty racist, sexist, and homophobic content.

Trust me, its bad so stop reading now if you don't want to see it and I certainly wouldn't read this at work or in front of kids.

Seriously, you've been warned...this gets pretty bad and I can't believe this guy would think that people would vote for him to represent anyone, anywhere.

So he already has a campaign Facebook page set up and there is no party affiliation on his campaign logo or anywhere on his campaign page. Its actually pretty bare. There's almost nothing there except a Go Fund Me link and a logo.

But if you look up his personal page, that is where things get interesting. He has some really controversial stuff. For a guy with almost no voting history, he posts as much political content on his social media as Yours Truly. But this guy is a big time Trump supporter. He posts a lot about eliminating racism, but it looks like he means the so-called "reverse racism". The guy sounds like an alt-right guy and for a guy with a Latino last name, as anti-immigrant as he is, I'm surprise he's not wearing a white hood in any of his posts.

Although his spouse has a picture of the confederate flag as a cover photo on her personal FB account. I'm not making that up. Juxtapose that against this image, from just a couple months ago, that he posted on his FB page. Remember, I warned you it was going to be racist, sexist, and homophobic...

Yes that image is supposed to be "Single Mom Barbie" showing a pregnant Barbie with children that are obviously minority kids.

Then there was this little gem about a man ejaculating in a woman's ear.

But hey, its not just racism and sexism that lives on that guy's social media page, there's a healthy dose of more bigotry, how about some gay bashing?

How about some gay-bashing and making light of mental illness?

And then there's your typical right-wing nut job attacks on the Obama's for being a drama free family who's only crime appears to be being black and in the White House.

Like I said, there's no way a guy who posts this last screenshot from late last year, should be able to run as a Democrat, so I hope he is at least honest with voters and admits he's a Republican.

Now I'm not just cherry-picking a few posts that were shared in jest from the guy's social media page to make him look bad. His page is FULL of stuff and frankly I only went back a few months on his page. I have more screenshots of a lot of other stuff from his page.

My point is, he's no Democrat and he should be honest with voters about that. And anyone in this day and age that isn't smart enough to clean up their social media before running for office isn't smart enough to hold said office.

This isn't someone to take seriously as a candidate to represent our community. The values he espouses aren't El Paso values.

Elections have consequences, vote accordingly.
