Housekeeping Stuff
A reader contacted me a while back and asked me if I could optimize my website for mobile viewing. That would make it easier to read on your mobile device. So I did.
Recently another reader asked me if I could change the background color because it was a lot of white and hard on the eyes after a while. So I did. If you go to the LSB on your mobile device you will see that the background is now black and the text is now white.
Since I was doing that stuff, I thought I would highlight a few of the other features on this blog that you might not be familiar with buy might want to take advantage of.
Off to the right, under the description of the blog are several features I have included for your convenience. The first one is a poll. I try to keep it fresh, but that's not always easy. If you have an idea for a poll, shoot me an email.
Follow By Email - You can use this feature if you would like an email alert sent to your email address whenever I post something new. This is a pretty popular feature because there are a lot of readers who use this feature.
Twitter Feed - I try to Tweet when I am covering an event and don't have a moment to blog. So you can usually get some brief updates by following my Twitter feed on the right. It only has my last few Tweets, so you can always follow me on Twitter. My handle is @TheLionStarBlog.
Contact Info - I have my email address and Twitter handle listed on the side bar. If you ever need to contact me, shoot me an email. Its synced to my phone so I get the emails right away.
RSS Feed - That's just another way of keeping up if you use an RSS feed reader.
Audio / Video / Image Archive - This is the most under-used feature of my blog but it has a treasure of information. Over my time blogging I have taken a lot of video, audio, and photos. If you ever want to find some of the stuff I did in the past, that's where to look. The Audio Archive takes you to recordings I've done and I store them on an account at Archive.org. You won't have to navigate because the link will take you directly to my stuff. Same goes for the video. It takes you to LionStar TV on YouTube. My Image Archive needs a little work. I have a bunch of images I've never uploaded so I admit there aren't a lot there. But I'll get to it. Bottom line, you never know when you might need something I've done before, so keep this one in mind.
Search Feature - If you are looking for something I wrote in the past, use this search bar and it will search the archives of my blog and it will give you results that match your query. This is another handy tool. Hell I use it myself in case I forget something I wrote about.
